What does inclusion mean to halow

This year to mark World Down Syndrome Day on Monday 21 March, Down Syndrome International asked what inclusion means to you. The halow team and some of our young people got involved to share what inclusion means to us.

World Down Syndrome Day (WDSM) is a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. The day is marked on 21 March every year to signify the uniqueness of the triplication of the 21st chromosome which causes Down Syndrome. If you would like to find out more about Down Syndrome, visit the Down Syndrome International website here.

At halow we support young people with a learning disability on their journey to independence, putting them at the forefront of decision making. We strive to help young people feel included in the community at halow, and in the wider community too.
