Nick has a background in HR, Learning & Development and Change Management having worked for a number of senior roles for multinational and SME businesses.

Throughout his career he has focused on delivering effective People Strategies and Training that unlocks a High-Performance Culture within a business. This lead him to found the business Ignition Human Performance in 2017 – a network of professionals who focus on unlocking performance in business using elite motorsport formulas, when it comes to Learning and Development, People Strategy and Speakers for corporate events. This has led to him work with a number of well known teams and personalities within the motorsport industry.

He is a Chartered Member of the CIPD, Business Mentor for Virgin Start-up and in 2017 achieved a Level 7 Post Graduate Diploma in International HR Management from Kingston University.

There is still much to do, and I am excited at being able to assist the dynamic team of dedicated staff and buddies led by Neil. It takes a lot of commitment and effort to build and maintain an organisation like halow, the recent covid 19 crisis is probably our greatest challenge so far, we are stretch to the very limits but I feel confident we will come through this stronger and ready for the future as there is still so much to do.’’

Richard is the founder of Arrow Shipping Group, a global Ship-broking company with offices in Europe and the Far East. He is also a passionate motor racing driver who regularly competes in international events throughout the world.

I have seen an amazing change in our own son, who has Down’s Syndrome and who has really blossomed since his involvement with halow – I would like to see that in as many young people as possible, and becoming a Trustee is an exciting opportunity to help achieve this.

Without Harriet, Amber, Laura, Oliver and William there would be no halow.  As Will’s father I have been taken on a truly enlightening journey into a world I never imagined I would be involved in. Our children gave us the inspiration to set up halow, to help improve the lives of young adults with a learning difficulty. It is remarkable all that has been achieved so far. The journey continues every day as halow continues to learn to make a difference to the young people we support.

Anne’s involvement in charities began as an undergraduate as a committee member of Aberdeen University Student Charities. Since then, she has been involved raising money, volunteering, becoming a Trustee and Chair of Trustees in charities both here in the UK and in Italy (where she lived for 20 years).

Her passion over the last 25 years has been in educational and parental support charities for young people with disabilities. She brings knowledge of learning and physical disabilities, SEN education, service outreach, social enterprise and from her professional career, including as CEO, of the strategic and operational challenges of running a charity and raising the necessary funds.
