Trustees' Week 2022
At halow, we are so grateful to have a wonderfully supportive Board of Trustees.
Each trustee brings with them a strong dedication to further opportunities for independence for the young people with learning disabilities we support. They also have valuable skills and knowledge to support staff in continuing to grow the achievements and reach of our charity.
We are taking Trustees' Week as opportunity to thank them for all the hard work and time the give to halow project.
Sarah and Nick, who both joined as trustees in 2022, have kindly shared some of the reasons they enjoy being a trustee for halow.

Sarah: "I want to give back to halow project as it gives out so much to the young people it supports. Local charities do so much good in the community. Although they don't have the same profile as larger, national charities; local and regional organisations like halow make such a difference in local communities.
I worked for halow in the Fundraising Team for before becoming a trustee for three years. I know the organisation well because of this and trust their integrity and commitment to young people."

Nick: "Being a trustee for halow project means a lot, but particularly in these current challenging times. Coming from a background which has focused on People Development, the charity shares a lot of my own values, as it looks to nurture independence for young people with a learning disability. & One of the ways halow project do this is with the #DisabilityWorks campaign, as we look to support the young people with their CV and interview preparation and skills! I am proud to have run a number of these sessions now over the past few years and always enjoy celebrating the success, as we watch these fantastic individuals grow in their confidence and abilities." &
"If halow wasn't here, I wouldn't be as happy as I am today"
