1. & & & & & & & Valentines Afternoon Tea

Why not organise an in-office Valentine’s Afternoon Tea and take Valentine’s Day cheese to the next level? Heart shaped cookies, cream teas, pink lemonade, red velvet cupcakes- make it pink or heart-shaped and you have a Valentine’s day themed treat! Try our Love & halow melting heart muffins & recipe (taken from BBC good food): &

Ingredients

Ingredients

For the muffins

175g butter

200g light muscovado sugar

50g cocoa

140g self-raising flour

2 large eggs

8 white truffles

For the decorations

150g butter, softened

300g icing sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tbsp cocoa

8 white chocolate

How-to:

Heat oven to 180C/160C fan/ gas 4 and line a muffin tin with eight paper cases. Melt the butter in a small pan, then leave to cool for 5 mins. Mix the sugar, cocoa and flour. Tip in the melted butter and eggs, and blitz to make a smooth batter.

Scoop a little of the mixture into each muffin case, then lightly press a white chocolate truffle in the centre. Spoon over the remaining mixture, making sure that the truffles are covered. Bake for 15-20 mins until the mixture has firmed up. Leave to cool.

To decorate the muffins, tip the butter and sugar into a large bowl, add the vanilla and beat with an electric hand whisk until smooth. Thinly spread a little of the vanilla mixture over the top of the cakes to cover them, taking the icing down the sides to meet the paper case. Beat the cocoa powder into the rest of the icing, then put in a piping bag fitted with a large star nozzle and pipe hearts onto the top of each cake. Add a chocolate heart to decorate for the final flourish.

2.Make and Sell Valentine cards

& If you love arts and crafts why not make beautiful Valentines cards and sell them. People love wonderfully created cards!

3. & & & & & & Love Race

Ok, this is essentially a Valentine’s Day version of a mini-marathon. Why not do a sponsored run dressed as someone or a character you love? The more humiliation involved the more sponsors!

4. & & & & & & & Valentine raffle

Raffles are always an easy fundraiser. Get together a few nice bits and pieces and organise a simple Valentine Raffle at work.

5. & & & & & & & Lippie Day

Simple- everyone wears their brightest, poutiest lipstick for the day! Pay £1 to take part and have a vote (names in a hat) on who wore it best. To make it fun, get everyone involved- you’re bearded manager could be crowned the winner. Get in touch with us at & fundraising@halowproject.org.uk & for prizes and ideas.

6. & & & & & & & Wall of Love

Valentines is a time when people want to show the world just how much their special someone means to them.

How much would they pay to post their love for everyone to see? And support their favourite good cause or that of their loved one at the same time.

Why not set up a & "Wall of Love" & where, for a small fee, romantic souls can share their love with the world. Charge either a fixed amount or a donation for the chance to display a "heartfelt" message on your wall of love. Not got anyone special at the moment how about a message of love to your mum, or gran or even the family cat - anything to support the cause.
