Learning Disabilities in the Workplace | Philip's Panel Discussion

halow’s Chairman, Nick Butcher, was thrilled to join a panel at Philips on Tuesday to discuss the power of inclusivity in the workplace. The Panelists, including Jonanthan Coles, Louise Best, Hayley Johnson and Will Hawes answered questions on the challenges facing people with learning disabilities in the workplace, as well as how employers can make recruitment more inclusive for people with additional needs.

Commenting on this morning, Nick said, & 'It was a privilege to be part of such an insightful discussion at Philips. At halow, we see every day how inclusive recruitment can transform lives and organisations alike. By breaking down barriers and embracing diversity, we unlock the potential of individuals with learning disabilities, enriching the workplace and society as a whole.'

We have worked with Philips to encourage the development of, and employment of Will, who was also on the panel and has been at Philips for five years! Will was able to share his journey of going through the recruitment process and how halow and Philips were able to support him.

We are proud to be supported by Philip's, having young adults gaining work experience within their offices, which is a fantastic opportunity toward their own independence.
