From the 17th March-23rd March it's Down Syndrome Awareness Week and today is extra special, it's World Down Syndrome Day!  This week halow has been helping raise online awareness and we think you should too.

You don't have to give a penny but if you have a Facebook or Twitter account please start spreading the word. Use #DownSyndromeAwareness or #WDSD and help dispel the negative sterotypes and myths associated with the condition.

World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. It is spreading fast; reaching more and more people each year. WDSD is a day to celebrate and focuses on creating a single global voice for advocating rights. The awareness week and day is supported by thousands of people and many charities, notably Down Syndrome International (DSi) & the Down Syndrome Association (DSA).
