On Friday 29th of May around 20 of our young people on the Social Activities programme attended the ever popular Haslemere Workshop and this was one of the best yet! Packed full of activities and a very enthusiastic bunch of young people, it was a great day.

The young people enjoyed a drumming session with Drum With Us. They had the chance to show off their creative talents, perform together and showcase their own drum solo! The beats of the drums were exhilarating and everyone was clapping and cheering for each other throughout.

The drama workshop from Oxted Young Person’s Theatre was the perfect opportunity for the young people to express themselves. They had the chance to work together in teams to create their own spectacular scene through the art of mime. Other highlights included interpretive dancing and re-enacting melodramatic scenes from a soap opera which was particularly popular!

After the workshops were finished the fun wasn’t over and the young people socialised, used the computers and some even set up their own rock band in the music studio! There was plenty to do and many of the young people played a great game of Boccia to finish off the day.

One halow young person said: “It was lots of fun and I liked the drumming a lot!”

We had an amazing time and the young people can’t wait for the next one. To find out more about halow Social Activities, click here.
