What a fantastic time we had at our 10th Birthday Celebration Party! Over 200 people attended our fun family picnic at Gosden House School, where friends of halow had a chance to come together and celebrate the charity's achievements throughout the years.

The entertainment started with live music from Anthea, the halow Music Group facilitator and her husband Andy. Our Social Activities team Jason and Aisha organised garden games throughout the day, including family favourite the Tug of War!

It was great to have Oh Snap UK on board to provide a fun photo booth for birthday celebration selfies, as well as festival face painting which went down a treat with halow young people. We also had Moooh Ice Cream with us. Guests were delighted to try unique ice cream flavours such as sea salted caramel and honeycomb crunch as the day got warmer.

We had the halow Memory Tree and Future Tree on display, inviting guests to write their favourite halow memory as well as their wish for the future and attach to the trees. There was an information stand about halow's history and the services it provides, where guests had the chance to enter the raffle to win tickets to Guildford Book Festival's Evening with Damon Hill and a signed copy of his new book, Watching the Wheels.

Soon enough it was time for the speeches but not before the halow Music Group young people got together to perform their song Dance with Me- they put on a fantastic show! It was then time to light up the cake and sing Happy Birthday to halow!

To end the party we invited halow favourites Ukejam to perform, who got young people involved with playing the ukelele. halow mascot Hector the Bear made an appearance, making his musical debut! Young people were delighted to see Hector who was taking selfies with everyone in his sight.

We would like to thank everyone who attended our 10th Birthday Party and for making it a day to remember! Special thanks to Ukejam, Anthea & Andy, Crumby Bakery, Gosden House School, Dunsfold Football Club, Kathy the Face Painter, Hannah from Oh Snap UK, Amanda from Moooh Ice Cream, Guildford City Social Club, Car Park Marshalls Tony Gorham, Abbie Lawrence, Sif Khatani, Heidi Khetani and Sean Divine from the District Rotary Club.
