On Wednesday 19th September 2018 we are inviting you to come and find out about halow, how we work with young people with a learning disability to support them to be as independent as they can be. If you are caring, positive, creative, problem solving and a good communicator you could be perfect for one of our many Buddy roles with halow care. (Drivers with own car needed.) See our poster for details

Everyone remembers the time someone - a teacher, a relative or a friend - gave them some great advice, lifted their spirits and made them feel they could push themselves out of their comfort zone to achieve what they really wanted. With some careful guidance and support we can all be the person we want to be and know how it feels to have that caring support.

Young people with a learning disability have often heard how much they cannot do, they feel and see barriers to them living their own life at every turn. Life can be tough making yourself understood, being accepted, getting around and accessing opportunities. With kind and creative support, halow can transform the lives of young people so they feel confident, have the life skills they need to look after themselves, contribute to the wider community and live life to the full. halow has a great reputation for supporting young people to really achieve so much. Young people, families and practitioners value our approach and the outcomes for everyone. As a result we have more young people being referred every day and are looking to expand our team to meet the need in Surrey.

If you are already working in care and seeking a more rewarding culture or seeking a new role which will challenge you and provide excellent job satisfaction please look at our current vacancies (full time, part time and term time hours across Surrey) and come along on Wednesday 19th September halow office, Guildford on Quarry Street between 11am and 3 pm to meet the team and hear some of the amazing stories of the achievements of our young people through the caring, positive and creative support of halow Buddies.

At halow we want everyone we work with to be supported to excel, our young people and our staff. For this reason we are committed to training and development, reflective practice and continuous improvement, staff welfare initiatives, generous annual leave and benefits package. The passion for the work we do is shared throughout the organisation and we celebrate all the achievements of our young people and the staff working with them.

Being a halow Buddy in halow care is a #dreamjob for anyone who really wants to make a difference . Come and find out for yourself, tell your friends and help us find the right people to support young people with a learning disability to excel.

Wednesday 19th September 2018 at the halow office, Caroll House, 11 Quarry Street, Guildford, GU1 3UY between 11am and 3pm.

Please look at our recruitment page for more information and come along and meet the halow team on Wednesday 19th September 2018.
