We were thrilled with the response from the Guildford community at the Christmas Light Switch on in High Street on Thursday 19th November.
The halow stall on the Guildford High Street was a great success selling festive items hand made by the young people from A Reason To Gt Up and Building Futures along with our Christmas cards. This was a really good opportunity for the young people to promote and sell the products they had designed and made – as well as gain valuable experience for their CV.
halow were thrilled to be a part of the balcony show with Eagle Radio’s Peter Gordon, this year giving us a valuable opportunity to engage with the Guildford crowds which included a fantastic speech from one of their young people, William. We are extremely proud of William for conquering his fear of heights as he took to the Guild Hall balcony, he had the crowds listening intently as he spoke of his experience with halow and the support he has received.
We were delighted to be a part of this fantastic community event once again this year, raising awareness of the halow project and the work we do with young people in the local community has always been of great importance to us. Thank you to everyone who braved the weather and supported us on the evening, volunteering, donatating or purchasing from the stall. Including the incredible Newfoundland’s in Action with their wonderful dogs who took to the High Street shaking their buckets and wowing the crowds.
