Coffee shopHarris + Hoole showed its support for halow by hosting A Reason to Get Up’s (ARTGU) Crafty Creation’s group at their Guildford (Tesco) branch. halow’s creative group worked together making elements to go onto a window display which they put together during their session.
Natalia Maj, Harris + Hoole’s Community Co-ordinator said: “It’s a pleasure to see the halow young people come into the store. We enjoy having them in and absolutely love the windows they have designed and made – it makes the whole space feel spring like and is great fun.”
The Crafty Creations group meets on a weekly basis. It is a chance for young people with a learning disability to get creative – making things which in turn can be sold to raise funds for halow. ARTGU began in May 2013 aimed at engaging young people aged 18+ with a learning disability in meaningful daytime activity within the Surrey community.
