Ann Kenney, halow’s Head of Fundraising commented, “Damon is leading the way seeking ways to help halow reach its fundraising target at the Festival. This very generous donation of his own personal copy of the incredible F1 OPUS Champion’s Limited Edition for auction at the Festival will go a long way help us achieve our overall target of £60,000.”
“We are very excited about the auction and all the other activities we have going on during the Festival of Speed where we are the event’s official beneficiary for 2015. This means we will have the opportunity to raise awareness of the issues young people face, tell them about the great things halow has to offer young people with a learning disability, reach a new audience as well as fundraise for the charity.”
halow is committed to supporting young people with a learning disability to have the same life choices and chances as any other young person. The charity aims to put young people in the driving seat and help them take control of their own lives by providing opportunities and support to:
• make and meet friends through social activities
• build confidence and life skills
• access meaningful work and homes of their own
