Before Christmas we went to visit the Meath centre. We went to visit them to see what art work they make and how they sell it.
We were shown around by Janine (Skills and Enterprise Assistant). She took us to the Meath art shop called the Arthouse and spoke to the people work there. They showed us what they are making and we looked at the things they made and had to sell in their shop. Janine took us to the second shop called Changing Perceptions. At the front there was a café and at the back they were painting furniture, such as chairs to sell. All the furniture was donated and they painted them to look nicer with the help of some staff.
The staff were very helpful and kind. a lady was asked at the art house how long people can make art work and sell it in their shop and she said for as long as they like.
We visited the Meath café. Some people had tea cookies and others had their lunch and they said it was very nice!
When the young people were asked they saw at Meath that interested them they said they liked and would like to up-cycle furniture and do pottery workshops.
We all really enjoyed our visit and loved to do the stuff they do there.
