Spring is in the air which means it is time to start on our allotment, as part of A Reason To Get Up's Diggin' It. This is a wonderful opportunity for young people with learning disabilities to:
- Have fun while learning basic horticulture skills.
- Gain experience selling produce to the local community.
- Meet new people and work as part of a team.
You will work with Aisha and halow volunteers on our allotment planning, planting, gowing & selling seasonal fruit & vegetables. Sessions started on Thursday 27th March 2014. They run every Thursday afternoon from 2pm-4pm until autumn 2014 (approx. 30 weeks.) The cost is £150 for 10 weeks (personal budgets can be used).
If you or a young person you know would like to be part of these sessions please contact Aisha on firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01483 447960.
halow's always looking for volunteers. Whether you're green fingered or don't know an apple from an artichoke we'd love to hear from you too.
