halow's Friday Night Youth Group were only too happy to welcome the 1st Witley Scouts to one of their sessions, the Youth Group runs every other Friday for 16-19 year olds and offers them the opportunity to meet with friends and hang out together. The 1st Witley Scouts were visiting as part of their World Challenge Badge, which asks that they explore and learn about disabilities within their local community and asks them to think about how they might help.

The evening started with the very popular game of "parachute" to help the two groups get to know each other, they were asked to run from one side of parachute to the other in answer to different questions. The groups had tea together and sang songs and got to know one another before starting team building activities such as building the highest straw tower holding the most marshmallows. It was a fantastic evening in which both groups were able to learn from each other and have a great time together. Jillie Gavin, Scouts Leader commented "The evening went really well, and I really believe our Scouts got a lot out of visiting your Youth Group."

Following their visit the Scouts will now embark upon a fundraising challenge for the Charity. With ideas from a big breakfast to a bike ride, they are not short on ideas about how to raise cash.
